For many, memorial decorations are a simple, yet deeply personal expression of lasting love. At our family-first cemeteries, our Park Services teams are honored to help families find meaningful decorations for their loved ones.
Floral and plant decorations — Flowers are classic symbols of undying love and the gentle nature of remembrance, representing the renewal of affection with every fresh bouquet. For outdoor spaces, live and artificial flowers are ideal options for paying tribute to your person. For indoor mausoleums, artificial flowers are best to maintain the air quality. Please ensure any flowers or potted plants are placed in approved containers.
Prohibited decorations — While some decorations may not seem inherently hazardous, if they are pulled into landscaping equipment (lawnmowers, trimmers), displaced by inclement weather, some decorations can pose a risk to people, other resting places, and wildlife. As such, prohibited items include, but are not limited to:
• Glass, ceramic, or other breakable containers and decorations
• Decorations placed on interior floors
• Decorations encroaching on other resting places
• Unsightly/withered/faded decorations
• Stakes, spikes, rods, posts, etc.
• Unapproved plastic, glass, or other breakable materials either attached to the tribute or near the tribute
